For the third year in a row, a small number of neighbors on Leyton Lane and Leyton Circle in Arbor Hills in Madison have created a block of evening light by lining the street with dozens of ice lanterns. It takes cold weather, a bucket, and 5 gallons of water to create these lovely illuminations. Come take an evening walk to see these next three evenings of hand-made, neighborly winter magic. If you must drive, low running lights are appreciated. Look out for pedestrians. Lantern time is 5:30 to 8:30 pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, February 2, 3, and 4 -- and more lanterns will appear each night.
