“Come explore UW-Madison – your public university – and experience science on April 10th – 12th. Interact with researchers, visit dozens of science venues across campus, enjoy Science Spectacular Shows, and try your hand at interactive Exploration Stations. From astronomy to zoology, UW Science Expeditions is the annual campus-wide science open house that connects you to UW people & places all year round. All events are free and open to the public.”

 

Bilingual Conservation Fair - Día de la Tierra: Saturday, April 18, 2026 (12pm-4pm); Fitchburg HUB at 2220 Traceway Dr, Fitchburg, WI; https://www.wisconsinecolatinos.org/bilingual-conservation-earth-day

“Celebrate Earth Day 2026 with us at the Bilingual Conservation Fair, ¡El Día de la Tierra!  Learn how to make a difference, connect with valuable resources on environmental conservation, sustainability, renewable energy, EVs, and the health impacts of pollution. Enjoy a fun-filled day with music, free tree saplings, and raffles for water filters and kites! A greener planet starts with us!”

“Free, Annual Event! April showers bring May flowers—and this opportunity to explore campus gardens, greenhouses, and research facilities. Visit the DC Smith Greenhouse, Allen Centennial Garden, Steenbock Library, and the Wisconsin Energy Institute. Explore hands-on activities with seeds, plants and soil and take home plants and seeds for your own garden (while supplies last). Visit all four locations to earn a free houseplant to take home!”
