Good Morning Neighbors! There is a volunteer opportunity coming up next week at our local Ashley Furniture. The Sleep in Heavenly Peace Bed Build event will take place on September 20 from 9a-3p and is looking for volunteers. Sleep in Heavenly Peace is an organization with chapters across the US whose main goal is to build, assemble and deliver top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. More information on the Madison Chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace can be found on their website. The goal for next week is to build 40 beds. Here are the details of the build:
Location: Parking lot of the Ashley Furniture Store at 2404 W. Beltline Highway Madison, WI 53713
Time: 9AM to 3PM: There are 3-2 hour slots to choose from. 9AM-11AM and 11AM-1PM are building slots and the 1PM-3PM slot is for more wrap-up/clean-up.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dusty or dirty along with closed toe shoes.
If you have a mask, please bring it, as it does get dusty.
Age Requirements: They ask that everyone is at least 12 years of age, but don't check for IDs. :)
