Volunteers Needed: Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) Community Bed Build - November 4th

With the mission of NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®, Sleep in Heavenly Peace builds beds and delivers them to kids that are currently sleeping on the floor. The beds come complete with a new mattress, pillow and linens. It's estimated that 3% of kids 3-17 are currently without a bed.

We need to build more beds! Our next community bed build is Saturday, November 4th. We’ll have two 2-hour sessions (9a-11a and 11a-1p). Sign up for one or both sessions. Our goal is to build 40 beds. Our West Madison Sleep in Heavenly Peace chapter serves Madison, Middleton, and parts of Fitchburg.

Here are the details of the build:

• Date/Time: November 4th, 9a-11a shift and November 4th, 11a-1p shift. REMEMBER to bring an ID!
• Lunch will be provided around 12 noon
• Location: Walgreens Distribution Center, 4400 WI-19, Windsor, WI 53598 (park in the lot on the left when entering the driveway. Build will take place in the truck docking area but get visitor’s pass from the office to the left of the docking area before entering the building)
• Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dusty or dirty along with closed toe shoes.
• If you have a mask, please bring it, as it does get dusty.
• Age Requirements: We ask for volunteers ages 12 and over, and minors must have a responsible adult with them. All adults must bring a picture ID.

The link also includes an indemnification form which needs to be signed. Each adult does need to sign up separately. You can indicate the number of minors you'll be bringing when you sign up.
