Please join us for the Arbor Hills Neighborhood Association annual meeting from 6:30-8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20th. The meeting will take place virtually (Zoom details are listed below). All Arbor Hills residents are welcome to attend.
For years, the annual meeting has been held at Arbor Covenant Church and has served as a great way to engage with your elected board members and city officials. This year, the meeting will look a little bit different, but we still have a full agenda! Your board president, Jim Cortada, will give an overview of what the association has accomplished in the past year. Treasurer Neil Dinndorf will present the board’s 2020 budget and ask members to approve the proposed budget for 2021.
Elections will be an important component of the meeting this year as there are five residents running for seats on the board. If your household paid the $20 annual dues for 2020, you're eligible to vote (1 vote per household). You can learn more about the people running for a seat on the board at arborhills.org/elections. Those who are newly elected will join an experienced team of board members. Read more about your elected board members at arborhills.org/board-members.
Our Alder and Madison City Council President Sheri Carter will provide an overview of important issues facing our neighborhood, South Madison, and beyond. Representatives from three organizations that received a grant from the Arbor Hills Neighborhood Association will also present: Gail Wiseman with One City Schools, Angie Oler from Leopold Community School's PFO and the Leopold Social Justice Fund, and Chris Ziemba with Second Harvest Foodbank. Learn how AHNA membership dollars contributed to these organizations that are making a difference in our community.
Starting now, we’re accepting 2021 membership dues – just $20 per household per year supports our newsletter, neighborhood events (which we plan to hold once again when we can gather safely), and more. You can pay online at arborhills.org (select the yellow “Pay Member Dues” button) or mail a check to Neil Dinndorf at 3314 Westview Lane.
