Fitchburg, WI - 2020 is going to be a very busy year of converging road construction projects in the region. If you work or travel on the following roads, plan to attend the VRBC Annual Meeting to get the 2020 road construction updates:
* Verona Road (US 18/151)
* County PD/McKee Road
* North Fish Hatchery Road
Please join us for the VRBC Annual Meeting on Wednesday, February 12th from 4:30 - 5:30 pm at KL Engineering, located at Suite 200, 5400 King James Way, Fitchburg, WI. You'll hear an update on how these road construction projects will affect your business & workplace in 2020-21.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is working on a seven-year reconstruction project improving Verona Road (US Highway 18/151).
What you need to know in 2020:
This year's construction will involve County PD/McKee Road between Fitchrona Road and Commerce Park Drive.
Two lanes will remain open each way on County PD throughout the construction season
Permanent turn restrictions will start in May (weather-permitting) at the County PD/Nesbitt Road/Kapec Road intersection. Only right turns in/out and left turns in will be permitted. The traffic signals will be removed.
Crews will complete the final configuration and ramp connections on County PD with Verona Road.
